Ever since I was young, I’ve been fascinated by the world of languages and terminology, which drove me to pursue a career as a translator. It is something that still inspires me and continues to motivate me to learn and improve. Whether it’s technical documents or creative writing, I take pride in my ability to accurately convey meaning through language.
I have a degree in Translation and Interpretation from Málaga University (Spain), and a degree in Modern Languages (with distinction in spoken Spanish) from Northumbria University (UK). I also have C2 level in Spanish.

EXPERIENCE
Over twenty years’ experience in translation
I have lived in Spain since 1994, where I began my professional career as an English teacher before moving into translation in 2001. I have extensive experience in various sectors, such as industry, engineering, IT, patents and renewable energies. Through a combination of formal education and hands-on experience, I have gained the skills necessary to construct logical, understandable arguments and to arrange them into a logical, well-structured exposition. I also have extensive experience in translating academic articles in the fields of social sciences and humanities, e.g. journalism, history, sociology, and education, where I am confident in my ability to express concepts precisely and accurately.

My years of experience have allowed me to refine my work method, which I apply to every Spanish-English translation project I undertake, ensuring a highly professional result. I only accept translation jobs after reviewing the text and ensuring I can deliver optimal results,

That is why I proofread each translation meticulously to ensure it is grammatically correct and free of spelling mistakes, while also being easy to read and understand. I can also provide a glossary of terms used whenever required.
